The following paintings were made over many years. Each demanded to be painted at the time. Colour has always been at the heart of my expressive language and its use alongside personal symbol and mark became the basis of my painting. Often about love and the space between us, an analogy for relationships that are both personal and universal. Like many working mothers time was squeezed but paint was, and still is, a visceral presence.
